Towns Boards across the country are thinking about “what next”, based on local demand and Long Term Plan for Towns. Finding the right Chair who can work with and provide leadership to a diverse Board, local communities, the local authority and other local/national stakeholders is critical. Getting it wrong can lead to wasted time and cost in recruitment.
This workshop will provide you with practical, doable and highly successful takeaways to help you get the right people on your Boards – and keep them! This event is targeted to Board Chairs, Board members or for those directly involved in recruitment for your Board.

Facilitators
Kate Willard is the Government appointed Thames Estuary Envoy, Chair of the Thames Estuary Growth Board, in a National Infrastructure Commissioner and Chairs Teesside International Airport.
Rob Allen leads Deloitte’s public sector governance practice, working with Boards across central and local government to review effectiveness and build capability. Rob is a board member of a national multi-academy trust and co-chairs Scunthorpe Tomorrow, a community network in his hometown Scunthorpe.
